Building your itinerary
The Builder is the drag-and-drop workspace where a trip comes together. You lay it out city by city, drop in what happens each day, and Deer Track turns it into a branded client itinerary — pricing itself as you go.
Start a new trip
Open Builder and you land on Begin a new trip. The quickest starts are a Blank trip, From a template, or Draft with AI — paste the client’s brief and it drafts a trip you can load into the Builder. There’s also Plan the route (list your cities and nights up front) and a Load a sample trip link if you just want to see how it all works.
The workspace
The Builder has three panes: on the left, the service library (destinations and services you drag in); in the middle, the trip itself as a stack of city blocks; and on the right, the settings, pricing and actions.
Add cities and fill the days
Add a city by dragging a destination from the left library onto the canvas, then set how many nights. Each city block has slots: an Arrival transfer, the Hotel, a slot per Day, a Connection to the next city, and a Departuretransfer. Fill them by dragging services from the library or clicking a service’s Add to trip button. Hotels can pull live rates from RateHawk, and you can set a custom rate for any service on this trip only.
Price it
The right panel handles money. In Trip Settings set the client name, Pax and dates. In Pricing, set your Markup %, pick the currency (€ EUR / $ USD / £ GBP), and watch the summary update live: Net Cost, VAT, Total, Per person and Profit. Open Advanced to switch between Markup and Margin mode, set a Custom selling price, or apply a Discount.
Make it look right
Pick a look with the Design picker (Classic, Classic Refined, Modern, Estate), toggle Show prices in itinerary on or off, and add a Tour Description and Notes (internal notes stay private; client notes show on the itinerary).
Preview, generate and share
Use Preview as clientto see exactly what they’ll get. When it’s ready, hit Generate Itinerary to publish the branded client page, then Copy Share Linkto send it — the client opens it in their browser, and you’ll see when they view it. You can also download a Client PDF or an Internal PDF. Edited the trip after sharing? The button becomes Update & copy link so the client always has the latest.
Reuse it
Built something you’ll run again? Use More actions → Save as Template or Duplicate trip. Managing and reopening trips is covered in Managing your trips.
