Getting started with Deer Track
Deer Track is one studio for the whole job: build a trip in the Builder, price it, send the client a branded itinerary, and get paid — with a sales pipeline and a light CRM keeping every deal and contact in one place. This is a quick tour so you know where everything lives.
Find your way around
The bar across the top is your main navigation. The five everyday tabs are Dashboard, Builder, Contacts, Opportunities and Trips. Everything else lives under More — Reports, Providers, Templates, Logistics, Invoices, Team and Help. On the right are search, the settings gear, your avatar, and the light/dark toggle.
The dashboard
The dashboard is your sales home. The middle of it is the pipeline — a board of deals in columns (Proposal, Reviewing, In work, Booked, and a Closed lost archive). You drag a card between columns to move a deal along. Above it, a Needs attention row flags things like stale deals or an upcoming occasion, and below it are your open tasks and recent activity.
Set your branding first
Do this once, before anything goes to a client. Open the settings gear → the Branding card. Add your logo, company name, contact details and default currency — they appear automatically on every client itinerary, so you never have to re-add them per trip.
The setup checklist
A brand-new workspace shows a short setup checklist on the dashboard — load a starter catalog, add your first contact, build your first trip, add your branding, invite your team, connect your email, connect live hotel rates, and connect Stripe. Work through it and you’re fully set up. Most of those steps have their own guide in this help center.
What to do next
Two things make everything else easier: import your data (contacts and catalog) and set up your service library. Then head to the Builder to make your first trip.
Common first questions
Do I need to install anything? No — Deer Track runs in your browser.
Who can do what? Owners and managers see everything. Agents work the pipeline and Builder; Logistics users work the booking board. A few actions — connecting Stripe or inviting teammates — are owner/manager only.
Can I bring my existing data? Yes — contacts, providers and rate files can be imported, and our team helps move you over from another tool.
